Wendy Wolfe Fine
Wendy Wolfe Fine is a documentary filmmaker and visual artist living in the Greater Boston area. Her work looks at Iranian Jewish immigration as a result of the Islamic Revolution of 1979, salad making as a metaphor for the diversity of Israeli society, and her personal reflections on living in Israel during the 2014 war with Gaza. Influenced by hybrid documentary filmmakers who combine avant-garde and documentary techniques as well as visual artists, she has developed complex visualizations to depict the cultural, the historic and the personal. In 2016, she ventured into installation art with the multi-media installation, The Pearl that Slipped Its Shell, about one family's experience escaping Iran as a result of the Islamic Revolution.
